Conn-Weld feed boxes are made from high quality mild steel and manufactured to customer specifications. It is furnished with an abrasion resistant wear plate but high impact rubber or other wear materials can be used instead. Also, a rubber splash curtain is attached to prevent spillage underneath the feed box on circular motion incline and other machines that may require splash curtains. Existing feed boxes already in use can be measured in order to meet the customer’s dimensional requirements.
Conn-Weld discharge lips are made from high-quality mild steel and manufactured to customer specifications. Not only is there an abrasion resistant wear plate furnished but an angle cross dam can be bolted on to help slow material movement. The AR liners can be replaced with high impact rubber or other wear materials. Existing discharge lips already in use can be measured in order to meet the customer’s dimensional requirements.
Conn-Weld back plates are made from high-quality mild steel and manufactured to customer specifications. Our back plates are installed to help prevent spillage to outside of vibrating screen. Back plates are designed so that there is sufficient clearance for installation or removal of screen panels above the back plate. Also, a rubber splash curtain can be attached to prevent spillage underneath the back plate.
Screen Support Angles
One of the many replacement parts Conn-Weld has to offer are screen support angles. The purpose of these angles is to support the individual screen panels found in the Banana Vibrating Screens and Horizontal Vibrating Screens that have individual cross members for deck support. The design of these angles is based on the screen media of the vibrating screen. For example, Conn-Weld has specially designed support angles for a “key-slot” system which can fasten our profile wire screen panels. Our engineering team can design screen support angles for any existing screen media a customer may have. Huck pins/collars or nuts, bolts and washers are provided for installation.
Deck Support Frames
The deck support frame or deck frame is a key component to a vibrating screen. It must properly secure the screen panels and withstand heavy loads of material for as long as decades. Therefore, choosing Conn-Weld for a replacement deck frame would be beneficial for future product success. For years, our proven structural designs have met the high demands of coal preparation and aggregate mining. Our experience has led us to welding procedures that make our product superior. Our durable deck frames can be retrofitted or customized to accommodate any screen media a customer may need. We offer a variety of options to improve your frames longevity such as rubber, ceramic, and urethane lining. We can also provide customers with multi-piece deck frames for easier installation in tight areas.
Side plate performance is crucial to the life of your vibrating screen. Our customers have come to rely on our side plates because they have proven to be durable even in the harshest environments. Our engineers pay attention to the smallest of details, using state of the art equipment, to ensure your replacement side plate is a perfect fit. Included with our side plates are lifting eyes to make them easier to move into their proper position. We can also provide several different types of wear protection to make them last longer including, abrasive resistant steel, stainless steel, rubber or urethane coating. All our side plates are made from the highest quality material available.
Horizontal Side Plates
Side Plates for horizontal vibrating screens are engineered to have a welded stiffener design. They are built with angles welded to the bottom between spring mounts for added strength when using a two-piece deck support frame instead of one piece. On larger side plates, the area around the drive is reinforced for added strength. Wear protection choices include abrasive resistant steel, stainless steel, rubber or urethane coating.
Incline Side Plates
Side Plates for inclined vibrating screens are engineered to have a welded stiffener design with a heavy reinforced area in the drive area for increased strength. They can be built with either welded or trunnion spring mounts depending on the application. Wear protection choices include abrasive resistant steel, stainless steel, rubber or urethane coating.
Banana Side Plates
Side Plates for multi-slope banana screens with an individual cross member design have stiffeners that are bolted on instead of welded to help reduce stress caused from welding. They also have extra reinforcement plates at the transition areas for increased strength. Wear protection choices include abrasive resistant steel, stainless steel, rubber or urethane coating.
Mechanism Support Beam
Conn-Weld mechanism support beams deliver high performance and long service life under rigorous conditions. Our fabricators use their wealth of experience to produce a high-quality beam that is able to withstand the stresses and fatigue produced by the mechanisms. High precision machining centers are also utilized to ensure smooth, machined surfaces and accurate placement of mounting holes. These beams can be designed to accept a variety of different mechanisms. Lifting eyes are also included for ease of handling. Some wear protection (i.e. rubber, grout) can also be included.
Single & Double Beams – Conn-Weld Banana Vibrating Screen
Conn-Weld can manufacture replacement beams for Conn-Weld’s Banana Vibrating Screens to meet the customer’s requirements. They can be made to replace the original equipment or to match any style of screen media that the customer may have changed too. They can also have a variety of wear liners added to them to extend the life of the beam such as AR plate liners, stainless steel plate liners, rubber, ceramics or be urethane coated per customer’s request.
Conn-Weld can manufacture any center hold-down to meet the customer’s requirements and match any type of existing screen media. They will have a deflector angle welded to them at each bolt hole to reduce wear on the deck support frame bolt. Upon the customer’s request, they can also be made from stainless steel.
Conn-Weld can manufacture any cross dam to meet the customer’s requirements and match any type of screen media. The height of the cross dam can be changed to meet the customer’s requirement. They will have sponge rubber attached to the bottom of them to seal any seams between the screen media panels. Upon the customer’s request, they can also be made from stainless steel.
Conn-Weld offers both oak wood and UHMW side hold-downs. As an option, we can add sponge rubber to the back of the side hold-downs to make a better seal to the side plate. Conn-Weld also offers a boltless side hold-down system. With this system, the installation time would be faster and the 2” or 2-1/4” holes in the side plates could be eliminated which in turn would eliminate any side plate leakage. On an existing vibrating screen which would have the 2” or 2-1/4” holes in the side plates, we offer a urethane plug that fits between the side hold-down and the side plate to eliminate side plate leakage.
Eccentric Shaft Mechanism
Conn-Weld mechanisms are built with quality in mind. All components for each drive are machined from raw stock or castings in house at Conn-Weld’s facility so that a strict quality control and documentation procedure can be maintained. This allows for Conn-Weld to control the production schedule so that a good supply of parts and assembled mechanisms are kept in stock. When the need for mechanisms or rebuild kits arise, Conn-Weld is there to provide for all our customer’s needs. Conn-Weld also has a rebuild exchange program to help facilitate lower downtime when mechanisms do need to be changed or rebuilt.
The Conn-Weld G-Master series mechanisms and the 3.1 and 4.1 mechanisms, or “straight line motion mechanisms”, are quality built to provide years of service. With each step being carefully documented, each part is made at Conn-Weld’s facility from the raw casting or stock, so that the quality assurance can be verified from the initial machining all the way through the assembly of the mechanism. The internal counterweight mechanisms are used when the throw has to be set from the factory. The external counterweight mechanisms are used when throw adjustments are required in the field.
