After two incredibly successful years in Nashville, it was no secret that there was some anxiety surrounding the move of AGG1/World of Asphalt to St. Louis and its potential impact on attendance. While the numbers were down (11,500 in St. Louis vs. 15,800 in Nashville), you wouldn’t have guessed it from the atmosphere of community in Booth #4501!
As a West Virginia-based company with deep roots in the coal industry, expanding into the aggregates market has been a challenging journey. However, over the past 10 years, we’ve experienced remarkable growth, with 60 percent of our revenue now coming from aggregates. Introducing products like our modular deck support systems, which contributed to our success in the coal industry, into aggregates seems surprisingly fitting. Conn-Weld has been committed to thinking outside the box and delivering innovative solutions for 50 years!
“The People Who Define Us” was a central theme in our booth, beautifully reflected through images that blended faces from both the past and present. While it may sound cliché, working here truly feels like being part of a family. Our team thrives on supporting one another, working hard, and having fun—creating a winning combination that fosters an atmosphere of community! It was an honor to have so many join us in our booth on Wednesday for our 50th Reception, and to continue the celebration that evening at the stunning 360 venue. When you pour your heart and soul into everything you do, and people show up to celebrate with you, it means the world. Events like these were something our founder, the late James D. Connolly, deeply cherished. With heartfelt gratitude, we thank each and every one of you who helped make this event a memorable occasion that will never be forgotten.
