Conn-Weld’s 3rd Annual Employee Appreciation Picnic was held on Saturday, June 24th. Although the weather put a damper on outdoor events, we were able to round up the western themed shindig and move indoors.
Under normal circumstances, this wouldn’t have been an option, but Conn-Weld’s new expansion made it possible! The timing was such that move-in is still in progress, which left a wide-open range for celebration.
Employees, family, and friends were greeted at the old trading post with bandanas and cowboy hats. The old western town made for multiple fun photo ops, especially the jailhouse where happily incarcerated folks smiled through prison bars. From bouncy houses to fresh spun cotton candy, there was fun to be had by kids of all ages. Inventory Manager, Stephanie Higgins exclaimed “It was enjoyable from start to finish. The kids had a blast with all the activities, I did not see any of them sitting around playing on their phones; they were up doing something. The entertainment, the karaoke, the food, the prizes, the atmosphere, was over the top from the minute you stepped in the door”.
In addition to expanding our production area, Conn-Weld’s new 110,000 sq. ft. building will house inventory, offices, and a conference room.
What better way to celebrate our people than in a growing facility in West Virginia, where we are proud to say,
“We Call This Home!”
